Habib Key - Phonetic Keyboard Driver For Windows

Habib Key is a phonetic Keyboard driver for Windows XP to 10. I wrote it sometime in the late 1990s and had been using it since, as long as Windows had been my primary OS.

Right now I had switched to Linux desktop. But the driver works the same.

Sharing it here as there's other users beside me who uses it.

Also note that this is Native Windows Keyboard driver. Not a 3rd party application that sits on your desktop and shows ad.

Download habibkey.zip -- 250kb.

Unzip and install. You can then add it to your system from System -> Regional and Language Setting -> Keyboard -> Habib Key (Bengali).

That's the standard way to install any other keyboard driver on Windows. Nothing new.

Keyboard Layout

Basically phonetic.

k for ক
shift-K for খ
i for ি
I for ই
and so on

No key is mapped with Ctrl or Alt. It's all shift or without shift.

Try it a little. f is for link / virama / হসন্ত. Discover the other keys.

It also uses - _ + = < > ` ~ for other letters. Every letter is a single keystroke.
